About Allyson O'Connell Nevard
Licensed and Board Certified Acupuncturist
Allyson Nevard has been immersed in the world of Chinese medicine for years, first discovering it when living in Japan from 1995-1997. She entered the world first as a Shiatsu practitioner and later received her masters in acupuncture and oriental medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA), Watertown, MA.
While at NESA, Allyson concentrated in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture as well as Chinese herbal medicine. She has also studied with well-known masters of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in addition to her regular schooling.
She currently holds a seat on the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Society of Massachusetts' board of directors and has a special interest in educating the public on holistic health and Chinese medicine. Her experience as a female athlete at Holy Cross College contributed to her special interest in orthopedic acupuncture and women's health issues.
